AAPD or also known as the ACS Alumni Pipes and Drums, founded in 2012. And unique, the band is the only pipe band (Bagpipers) in Ipoh, Perak. AAPD has successfully train more than 20 members up to this day and has performed many shows in Malaysia and Asia. Besides, the band has also participate actively in activities internationally.
Since the band formed, the band has competed in numerous pipe band and solo competition in Malaysia and around Asia. Being a fairly well known group of performers in a short period of time, the band has establishes themselves to be a group of musicians that display their unique skills and professionalism.
2014 – 2nd Place – Snare Drum Solo (Novice)
2015 – 3rd Place – Bagpipe Solo (Novice)
2016 & 2017 – 1st Place – Tenor Drum Solo ( Novice)
2017 & 2018 – 2nd Place (Silver Medal) – Mini Pipe Band Category
2019 – 1st Place (Gold Medal) – Mini Pipe Band Category
